News & Updates – Week of 10/10

Game Day Information
– Saturday, 10/15 Thomas Field (Home) vs. JV Falcons at 6:00 pm.
We will need 3 volunteers to run sticks/chains. Snacks:

Picture Day! Pictures will be taken this Saturday, 10/15 at
4:45 pm on Thomas Field. For
picture day, please remember the following:
1.
All individual photos will start at 4:45 pm. The team photo
will be taken at 5:00 pm sharp – therefore, please do not be
late to the field on this day to ensure that all of the athletes and
coaches are included in this year’s team photo.
2.
For photos, you will receive a CD with your athlete’s individual
photo and a release form to have prints made at your preferred photo
store. Additionally, you will receive a printed team photo
called a Memory Mate. The photo package of CD and printed
Memory Mate photo is $15. There will not be an order
form to complete at a later date. If you would like to
purchase the CD and Memory Mate team photo, please plan to pay $15
on picture day.

Coaches,
please make sure you wear your coach’s shirt for the photos.

Pictures from Pep Rally and action photos. Just in case you
missed it, here is the link to the photos from this year’s pep rally
if you’d like to order any. Also, this company provides
individual action photos for your athlete, so contact them directly
if you’re interested in having photos taken during a game.

Fundraiser this Saturday will be held at Texas Roadhouse on
Hwy 121 between Standridge and Josey Lane. Hours of
participation are 11am – 4pm, so be sure to stop by for a great
lunch before the game this week!
5.
Nominees for Board Elections are due at the concession stand
tomorrow. There should be nomination forms there for you to
fill out. CYFL is always in need a great volunteers and I
would be proud for any of our parents to be a part (as I know they
would do a terrific job!). If you would like to run for any
position, please let us know.
6.
Just as a reminder, any field closures and/or practice cancellations
will be sent via text. You can also keep up to date on any
league news by “Liking” CYFL’s Facebook page at

7.
SAVE THE DATE
– Carrollton Bowl will be held Saturday, November 5th.
We don’t yet know the time, location or opponent, but I want to be
sure you know that we will definitely have a game that day.

Game Information for Saturday, 10/8: Game time is 10:30 am on
Thomas Field vs. JV Steelers.
Please have your athletes meet JV Viking coaches in the north end
zone of Thomas Field. We will be the Home team, so we will
need 3 volunteers to run chains/sticks. Please let one of the
coaches know if you are willing to assist in this area.

A
few notes regarding Homecoming:
o
Signs, signs, signs! Let’s show our support for our Vikings
with posters for each of our athletes. Please make a poster
for your athlete with his name/# for this game.
o
We
will be announcing each athlete at half-time with a brief script.
Please ask your athlete to provide answers to at least 2 of the
following questions and email or text to me by Friday morning as I
will be putting together the final script on Friday.

Homecoming goodie bags. I will put the bags together on
Saturday morning. If you would like to provide goodies for the
bags, please bring them to practice this Thursday. If you

purchase something fun for the bags. I already have
commitments for pencils, temporary tattoos and candy necklaces.

Custard on Hebron. They will be honoring the fundraiser
the entire week of 10/1 – 10/7/11, so if you aren’t able to join us
there after the game on Saturday, be sure to stop by next week
sometime and mention CYFL.
